Dr. Ava Lindberg

Dr. Ava Lindberg

Dr. Ava Lindberg is adjunct professor in the PhD Program in Transpersonal Psychology-Bilingual at Sofia University, and an expert in narrative inquiry, archetypes and mythology, Jungian psychology, ecopsychology, and qualitative/mixed methods research. She co-developed the Turning Point Spiral Group process with Xiao Zhang and Jasper Xu, PhD. She teaches Archetypes, Myths, and Symbols in summer 2025, and has taught Narrative Inquiry PHDC7230 and advanced research methods in the Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology program. Dr. Lindberg’s research integrates storytelling, depth psychology, and participant observation within mixed methods, focusing on personal narratives, archetypal forces, and contemporary issues such as expatriation.

She has presented at the International Association for the Study of Dreams, the Qualitative Research Consultants Association, and the Northeast Anthropological Association, and will keynote the upcoming Conference on the Representations of Apocalypse in Literature and Psychology at Topkapi University, Istanbul, in December 2025. Dr. Lindberg is the developer of the Dream Game, an experimental project exploring dreams, gamification, and social dynamics, and leads SunResearch, a qualitative and mixed-methods consultancy aligning behavioral science with corporate research and team development.

Dr. Lindberg holds a PhD in Depth Psychology with a specialization in Jungian Studies, an MA in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, an MA in Cultural Anthropology, and a BA in English Literature from Columbia University. She maintains a private Jungian psychoanalytic practice and is currently writing on subjects like synchronicity, dreamwork in teamwork, and the transpersonal and social psychological factors in expatriation.
