Conference Overview
4th Global Mental Health Conference
Embodiment, Coherence, and Whole-Person Mental Health in a VUCA World
September 27, 2026
As our world becomes increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA), mental health can no longer be understood solely through the lens of diagnosis or treatment. Addressing today's global challenges requires approaches that integrate mind, body, relationships, culture, and systems to support resilience, wellbeing, and human flourishing.
The 4th Global Mental Health Conference brings together scholars, clinicians, educators, leaders, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to explore embodiment as a foundation for whole-person mental health, ethical leadership, and sustainable human development.
This year's conference examines how embodied and integrative approaches can strengthen emotional resilience, nervous system regulation, relational intelligence, contemplative practice, and meaning-making across diverse cultural and professional contexts. By fostering dialogue across psychology, neuroscience, leadership, education, healthcare, contemplative traditions, and systems thinking, the conference aims to advance innovative perspectives for supporting individuals, organizations, and communities in an increasingly interconnected world.
A distinctive feature of this conference is its emphasis on cross-cultural dialogue. Drawing inspiration from both Eastern and Western traditions—including the Daoist principle of Wu Wei (aligned or effortless action) alongside contemporary research in transpersonal psychology, neuroscience, developmental psychology, and integral theory—the conference explores how diverse wisdom traditions can contribute to more coherent and sustainable approaches to mental health and wellbeing.
The conference also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the essential role of mental health in education, leadership, healthcare, workplace wellbeing, community resilience, and global collaboration.
Through keynote presentations, interdisciplinary panel discussions, experiential workshops, and interactive conversations, participants will engage with leading voices exploring the future of whole-person mental health in a rapidly changing world.
Whether you are a mental health professional, educator, researcher, healthcare practitioner, organizational leader, policymaker, or student, the conference offers an opportunity to exchange ideas, build meaningful connections, and contribute to a global conversation on cultivating coherence, resilience, and human flourishing.
Together, we invite you to explore new pathways from fragmentation to coherence—advancing whole-person mental health for individuals, communities, and society.
