Bonnie Buckner, PhD

Bonnie Buckner, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of the International Institute for Dreaming and Imagery, and author of The Secret Mind: Unlock the Power of Dreams to Transform Your Life.

Buckner’s work is based on a method of using dreams and the spontaneous imagination for inner exploration, problem-solving, and enhancing creativity. She uses it as a tool in leadership and creativity coaching, bringing it to such diverse fields as leadership, government, the performing and creative arts, and academia.

In addition, Buckner continues to serve as an Executive Coach and Senior Fellow at George Washington University’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, and Co-Faculty Director of their eCo Leadership Coaching certification program, bringing the dreaming work to coach development. Buckner earned her Ph.D. in psychology, with an emphasis in media, at Fielding Graduate University, where she served over 10 years as adjunct lecturer, teaching “The Power of Image: Persuasion, Place, and Identity,” “Cognitive Display of Information,” and “Media & Political Psychology.”
