Joan Walton, PhD

Dr Joan Walton is a researcher in Consciousness and Education at Yorks St John University UK.  She is also Chair of the Scientific and Medical Network Board of Directors, a member of the Galileo Commission Steering Group, Chair of the International Network for Science and Spirituality Executive Committee, and an Honorary Research Fellow for the Alef Trust.  Through her involvement in these different organisations, she is seeking a synergy between them, with a specific interest in integrating science, consciousness and spirituality.  Over the past 15 months, she has -  with Dr Laurel Waterman and Dr Marjorie Woollacott - created a global Consciousness Educators' Network, the aim of which is to explore different ways of exploring ideas and perceptions of consciousness.  The emphasis is on experiential enquiry, creating an expanded science which integrates interiority and exteriority.
